The one thing I feel we’re lacking here in Texas is a solid friend group. Kyle and I both have friends through work but no couple friends… which are seemingly essential for us. However, some of our best friends came to visit us this weekend and what a time! My heart feels so full and so happy to have spent time with these sweet pals!
We started Friday with brunch, shopping, catching up, and lots and lots of laughs. Then Saturday, we headed to Waco to soak in all of the Magnolia goodness. We shopped around at a few stores, The Foundery and Spice Village. I found a hidden elf in one of the stores (thanks to Autumn’s relentless pursuit) and won $25 towards a purchase in the shop. How fun!
Afterward, we went to Magnolia Table where we had lunch. Everything from the location, atmosphere, service and food was incredible. Joanna Gaines is truly an angel and everything she touches turns to gold. Jesus blessed the word when he placed her on Earth. I had French toast which came with strawberry butter (premium). Nothing but raves from the whole table.
A trip to Waco wouldn’t be complete without a stop at the Silos and some other fun landmarks. We drove by some of the houses that had been featured on the show (v neat). Not posting my creeper pictures of the homes for obvious reasons but, if you ever find yourself in Waco check out fixeruppermap.com!
Sunday was filled with adventures in downtown Dallas. We went to Dealey Plaza, Reunion Tower, and the Dallas Farmers market. It’s so neat to adventure right in our backyard. It reminds me how blessed I am to be on an earth with so much to explore and such a heart for exploring. It’s also so amazing the way God creates beauty in all ways and shapes. Sometimes it’s a beautiful sky, sometimes it’s a captivating skyline, and sometimes it’s art created by one of His own creations. Amazing !!
Feeling the definition of grateful, thankful, and blessed going into the week leading up to Christmas.
